DAMP DREARY NYC DAY TUESDAY WARM SURPRISE POSSIBLE – Good morning everyone! Today we find ourselves deep into the wrong side of a back door cold front. Unseasonably cool temps, a damp easterly wind, clouds, and the threat of showers will be with us for most of the day; highs only in the low 40’s
Tomorrow, that front tries to fight back and more showers will be the result, although temps will warm up a bit even with clouds and showers in the picture; highs in the mid 50’s. With a light southerly breeze on Tuesday as all the instability starts to begin it’s exit, we could squeeze out a surprise warm day out of this one. As of now, we’ll have clouds and widely scattered showers, highs in the low to mid 60’s. However, any amount of sun that breaks out, could push us to near 70 and beyond. We’ll have to wait and see how it all plays out, but even with the possible warmth, Wednesday looks to be the best day of the week so far, with clouds and sun, no rain, and highs near 60.
Thursday will be sunny and cooler, then we watch for another system on Friday which could hang around all next weekend in the same fashion that this one is doing. Stay tuned.
