FAIR NYC DAY TODAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND SPLIT LIKELY
FAIR NYC DAY TODAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND SPLIT LIKELY – Good morning everyone! If you’re out and about today, you’ll be experiencing the best day of the week. We’ll have sun and clouds all day, a light easterly breeze, and temps in the normal realm of 70-75.
Clouds lower and thicken tonight as a wave of energy skirts just to our south, giving us a slight chance of some light rain in the area. Tomorrow, clouds hang around with the approach of our next system overnight, highs in the low 70’s with a cool northerly breeze. Showers and fog move in before daybreak, and Thursday will essentially be a washout, with the threat of showers and embedded thundershowers all day, highs in the mid 60’s. We’ll have to wait and see what Friday looks like, because it may take some time for Thursday’s system to clear out. As of now, I’m going to call for a slight chance of some morning showers, then clouds and sun, low to mid 70’s.
For the holiday weekend, I’ve been mentioning that we have to pay attention to how fast Thursday/Friday’s system moves, plus watch the approach of another system later in the weekend. As of now, Saturday is looking like the nicest and driest day of the holiday weekend IF we can clear all of this out in time. We’ll have sunny skies and highs in the mid 70’s, before clouds roll back in before sunrise on Sunday. Indicators show we’re not looking at any rainouts, but we’ll have sun and clouds and a chance of a few showers throughout the day, then more clouds and a better chance of scattered showers for Monday. We will continue to keep an eye on this as it unfolds so that we can pinpoint the forecast for each day of Memorial Day Weekend.
