Fred To Make NYC Area Moist

Good morning everyone. Fred is down south and he’s going to come into the area between tomorrow and Thursday, not only getting the area wet, but moist too with tropical-like humidity. Other than that, the tropics remain bust with Grace and Henri, and temps remain sub 90 for a decent stretch.

Clouds are here and they remain here through Thursday and part of Friday. Expect low 80’s, increased humidity, and highs in the low 80’s.

WEATHER RADAR

The chance of tropical-like showers increases tomorrow, with a muggy day in the low 80’s. Th best chance to see any action will be tomorrow night into Thursday. I believe the core of the precip goes to our west and north, but that opens us up for the “tail” of Fred. That may translate into a line of severe weather or very gusty showers. It could also mean the slight chance of a brief tornado. Highs in the low to mid 80’s and very muggy.

We’ll see some blue patches on Friday, and more blue patches on Saturday. Each day will come with the slight chance of a shower, with highs in the mid to maybe upper 80’s depending on the sunshine. Sunday looks decent too, with sun and clouds, slight chance of a shower, and mid 80’s.

As far as the rest of the tropics are concerned, Grace is aiming for the Yucatan, then might exit into the Gulf briefly and weakened before hitting land again. Henri will meander around Bermuda, then turn west, north, then northeast. The question is how wide of a turn he makes. At a minimum, expect rough surf and riptides here from Henri.
