INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY DAMP DREARY TUESDAY
INCREASING CLOUDS TODAY DAMP DREARY TUESDAY – Good morning! Low pressure continues to meander in the Mid Atlantic and will slowly drift our way. Unfortunately, every hour we don’t get clouds or rain today, will be an extra hour of clouds and rain for Wednesday, but we’ll get into that in a minute.
After a sunny morning, clouds will increase today and an east wind will make it feel cooler than it actually is; highs 60-65, slightly cooler along the immediate shore with those east winds. Rain begins to move in tonight, with periods of steady rain tomorrow as low pressure finally begins to make its move; highs tomorrow will only be in the low to mid 50’s. Clouds and a few light showers linger on Wednesday due to a stubborn and slow moving system., but we warm up a bit and back into the low 60’s.
The slow moving nature of this pattern has its advantages and disadvantages. First and foremost, clouds and rain will be slow to leave. However, once the warmth moves in Thursday, that’ll also be slow to leave. We still have to see if a backdoor front plays a role for next weekend, but if it does, warm air fights back early next week. If not, we have a good stretch of 70’s without interruption. Stay tuned and we will fine-tune next weekend’s forecast.
