MORE QUESTIONS MORE ANSWERS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND – Good morning everyone. We’re off to a good start today, but things will deteriorate as the day wears on. Meanwhile, we have some questions answered in terms of how the first half of our Memorial Day weekend will go, but more questions pop up for the second half.

Partly to mostly skies this morning will lower and thicken, then give way to some showers by early afternoon. We’ll have highs in the mid to upper 60’s, then we’ll have a shot at some heavier showers and storms in the evening. Nothing severe is expected at this moment, but some of the storms could be on the strong side, with localized flooding, gusty winds, and frequent lightning.

After some morning fog, we clear out tomorrow for a beautiful day. Look for fog giving way to sun and clouds, a light northerly breeze, and highs 75-80. On Thursday, that northerly flow continues, with low humidity, more sun, and highs again 75-80. We notch things up a bit for Friday, but I think it remains comfortable humidity-wise. Expect sunny skies again and highs 80-85.

Entering our Memorial Day Weekend, I said Saturday had the potential to be a warm one, and it will be. Increased humidity will be on the menu, with sunny skies for most of the day, then sun and clouds late; highs a humid 80-85.

Things get complicated for Sunday as the maritime influence tries to push back. Depending on what side of the airmass we find ourselves on, will dictate how the day will go. As of this moment, I personally believe some stations are going a little high with the temps. Unless anything changes on my end, I’m expecting mostly cloudy skies, a slight chance of showers, and highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.

Monday gets even more complicated with that front draped across the area, and possibly some tropical moisture approaching. It looks a little delayed at this moment, but moisture ahead of the main area of tropical low pressure, could interact with the front, giving us showery and cool conditions.

Stay tuned as we take it day by day and do our best to zero in on Monday.
