NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST 2018
NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST 2018
NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST 2018 – Good sunny morning everyone. We’ve finally broken the gloomy pattern even though a hiccup will occur tomorrow. Even with tomorrow though, things are shaping up for the NYC area and we’ll have more sunny days than cloudy ones coming up, including parts of Memorial Day Weekend.
Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day, with bright sunshine, a light northerly breeze, and a dry day in the upper 70’s to near 80. Clouds increase tonight with the approach of a warm front/cold front combo. This will give us the chance of showers and a few rumbles of thunder tomorrow during the day, then we’ll get a break as the warm front passes. After that, the cold front will swing by with another chance of some gusty showers and storms; highs in the mid to upper 60’s tomorrow.
The sun snaps back on Wednesday with a day similar to today. Look for a northwest breeze and sinking air will help warm things up across the board, even at the immediate coast; highs in the upper 70’s to near 80. Thursday is looking equally as nice and comfortable with sunny skies and mid to upper 70’s.
Entering Memorial Day Weekend, Friday remains sunny but we turn up the juice a bit. 80-85 will be on the menu for most of the area. For Saturday, we have the potential for a very warm day, but cooler air may sink down. We’ll keep a close eye on this one, but the only concern will be the temperature as it’ll remain dry regardless. For the moment, I’m going to say highs near 80, but we have the potential to go mid to upper 80’s, especially for inland areas.
Things get tricky for Sunday as we get a return of the tropical moisture similar to this past week’s pattern. High pressure will move off the coast and a trough will help feed the area with clouds and scattered showers. As of now, expect mid 70’s, mostly cloudy, and the threat of showers around. Not a rainout, but not the best of days either.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on Monday as Memorial Day itself has the chance to be a washout. More on that in the upcoming days as we fine-tune everything.
