Nasty Columbus Day Monday Likely
Good morning everyone. We have a lot going on, and nothing going on, all at the same time. For us, we remain quiet until Monday, that’s when we’ll watching the remnants of Hurricane Delta. As for Hurricane Delta, it’s on a collision course with the LA/TX coast, and it’s beginning to get its act together after losing some steam over the Yucatan. Winds are sustained at 100mph, but some strengthening is expected.
SATELLITE
Mostly sunny skies will be with us for the entire day. Seasonably cool air has filtered in, and we should see low to mid 60’s as highs with breezy conditions.
REGIONAL RADAR
Cool air sticks around tomorrow, but again, nothing extreme in the cool department. Look for more sunny skies and mid 60’s before things modify in a big way Saturday.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Warm air ahead of the system that’ll help bring the remnants of Delta our way, will give us a beautiful day on Saturday. The sunshine continues, and we should see 75-80 degree temps.
Clouds will increase late Sunday ahead of Monday’s rain, and that’ll suppress the temps a bit. Expect low to mid 70’s as highs on Sunday.
Rain moves in Sunday night and into much of Monday. We should have on and off rain Monday, breezy and raw conditions, and some of that rain could be heavy at times. Highs in the low to mid 60’s.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Before and after Delta’s remnants, we are quiet. However, Delta affects the jet stream in the long range and puts the kibosh on any prospects of sustained warm air in min October. We could see a warm day here or there similar to Saturday, but no ridge = no 3-5 day block of 75-80 degree temps. Overall we will continue to cool off aside from any mildness ahead of the front parade.
