Hurricane Delta Makes Landfall Tonight, Warm NYC Saturday Tomorrow

Good late morning everyone. We have another beautiful but seasonably cool day today, and things will be modifying very quickly with warm air rushing in tomorrow. Hurricane Delta makes landfall tonight, bringing with it damaging winds and life threatening storm surge for parts of the Louisiana coast.

SATELLITE

storm free

Mostly sunny skies and a nice blue canvass dominate today. Very light winds will make it feel warmer today, but we’ll still be in the mid 60’s for the most part.

REGIONAL RADAR

storm free

Sunny skies and warm air combine tomorrow to give us a nice late summer/early fall day tomorrow. Expect highs 75-80 throughout the area, and a few spots may crack 80 if the wind profile allows.

AM sun will be on the menu for Sunday, then we’ll increase clouds late. That will help hold temps down a bit, but we’ll still be on the mild side. We’ll have a slight chance of a shower, with highs in the low 70’s.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

storm free

More organized rain heads in Sunday night and into Monday for a nasty Columbus Day. We’ll have on and off rain, heavy at times on Monday, with breezy & raw conditions. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to low 60’s.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
storm free

In the long range, Hurricane Delta does just enough to jolt the jet stream and change the fate any warm air building in our area for mid October. We could have a warm day here or there, but for the most part we continue on our cooling trend.
