NYC Active Period Brings Seasonably Cool/Cold Air

NYC Active Period Brings Seasonably Cool/Cold Air

Good morning everyone. We have an active period unfolding, with a series of fairly vigorous fronts heading through over the next 2 weeks; bringing with them seasonably cool to cold air. Other than that, we’ll be watching closely for any curveballs, but for now there’s nothing on the immediate horizon snow-wise.

For today, we have sunshine and seasonably cool conditions. We’ll have highs in the mid 40s for a fairly quiet day. Our next front begins its approach tomorrow, but milder air heads in as these systems head into the Great Lakes. Expect increasing clouds tomorrow with the chance of some PM showers. Again, highs will be milder and in the 55-60 range.

We stay mild for Wednesday, but it’ll be a rainy one with highs again in the 55-60 range.

WEATHER RADAR

Cool air lags behind this system, and we should eke out a semi-sunny and mild one on Thursday with more mid 50’s; but our next system is already on the move for Friday. Look for increasing clouds on Friday, then some more PM showers heading in. Expect highs in the mid to upper 40’s, and it’ll feel very damp.

The weekend remains steady as we continue to see a fairly dry one, with sun & clouds both days, and seasonably cool temps in the mid 40’s. The front parade continues after our quiet weekend, and I’ll be keeping an eye on any surprises; otherwise we can expect a milder day here or there ahead of our precipitation, then seasonably cool or cold behind each system.
