NYC Beautiful Today & Tomorrow
Good morning everyone. Yesterday’s cold front passed through with little fanfare for the NYC/Long Island area, with clusters of thunderstorms forming to our west and southwest, but failing to drift our way. We did get some much needed rain though, and the cold front is still doing what it was supposed to do regardless; and that is, give us 2 beautiful days before a little bit of humidity and moisture creeps back in Sunday.
SATELLITE
For today, look for full sunshine, deep blue skies, breezy conditions, and highs in the near 80/low 80 realm. We go fairly cool overnight, with temps dropping into the upper 50’s to near 60 for the NYC area. Long Island and areas away from NYC may see some low to mid 50’s overnight for a mid-September feel.
WEATHER RADAR
Mid-September weather continues tomorrow, where we may not get out of the 70’s, even in NYC. Sunshine sticks around, the breeze slowly turns into a steady NNW flow, and we’ll see highs in the upper 70’s to near 80. We won’t be as cool Saturday night as temps drop into the mid 60s, and that’s a sign the moisture returns a bit.
We’ll have morning sunshine Sunday, then increasing clouds. Moisture will increase along the coast, and a wave of low pressure may bring some scattered showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. Look for highs in the low 80’s and more humid.
Next week starts off nice, with sunshine and low 80’s both Monday and Tuesday. Seasonable to seasonably cool temps continue through the week, and we’ll be watching next weekend for a little gloom before very warm temps return the following week.
