NYC BLIZZARD FORECAST HOLDS STEADY – Good afternoon everyone! As models continue to waver slightly and everyone is holding their breath awaiting the outcome, the storm clouds continue to gather. At this point, watching the hour to hour model updates and model shopping for your favorite outcome, has come to an end. It’s time to let the chips fall the way they may, then make any adjustments (if any) early tomorrow morning as we see the actual storm play out and the radar signature.

Unless anything really shocks me and blows me away, I continue to stick with my projected snowfall map. Just remember, 1-2ft doesn’t mean you’re going to see 2ft, it’s specifically means 1-2ft. In storms such as this and this type of power, they ALWAYS have a trick up their sleeve. This is the reason for the 1-2ft, there is simply no model that can predict where banding will set up and/or thundersnow.
