NYC Brief Mild Air Possible Otherwise Chilly
Good morning everyone. We remain on a quiet footing but a chilly-dominant pattern. There are a few bright spots here and there, including tomorrow and possibly Monday, but reinforcing shots of cool to cold air will keep March feeling average to below average.
SATELLITE
We have some clouds moving though the area representing milder air coming in tomorrow. Look for highs in the mid topper 40’s today, then sunshine returns tomorrow with near 50 degree temps.
A reinforcing shot of cold air will sweep through late tomorrow night/early Thursday, which means dropping temps on Thursday. We’ll start off in the 40’s Thursday, but will be in the 30’s by sunset. Overnight, lows may drop into the upper teens to low 20’s. Friday is a below average day, with more sunshine and highs only in the mid to upper 30’s.
WEATHER RADAR
Temps will modify slowly over the weekend. Look for increasing clouds and mid 40’s Saturday, then some rain on Sunday as our warm front drifts over the area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s depending on how far that warm front can pass.
Depending on the timing of our cold front on Monday and if the warm front can pass far enough north, Monday has the potential to be a decently mild day. For now we will go conservative, with sun and clouds, late showers, and highs in the 60-65 realm.
After that, chilly air moves back in with plenty of cold air left in Old Man Winter’s lungs.
