NYC Cold Eases Through Workweek
Good morning everyone, Merry Christmas & happy last day of Hanukkah. We have another cold one today, but things will slowly ease and change. There is milder weather on the way, and it’ll apex New Year’s Eve and a few days into January. That being said, don’t count winter out since as you can see, frigid temps are very available.
SATELLITE
Expect sunny and very cold conditions today with highs in the mid 20’s at best, then we sink back into the mid teens overnight.
Things will cloud up a bit tomorrow as a “milder” airmass creeps our way, but sun will return Tuesday with little fanfare in between. Highs tomorrow will be near 30, then we pop into the mid 30’s byTuesday.
WEATHER RADAR
The moderating trend will continue on Wednesday, with more sunshine and near 40 temps. Thursday looks like a winner with continued sunshine and mid 40’s.
Our next system begins its approach this weekend, and that’ll give us a fairly mild Friday with 50-55 degree temps.
For your holiday weekend, New Years could be a showery one with 50-55 degree temps. However, we don’t drop much since another system is hot on its heels and heading into the Great Lakes. This will hold temps in the upper 40’s to low 50’s for Sunday, and we could go even milder Monday and Tuesday.
