NYC Decent Weekend Aside From Late Coastal Clouds
Good morning everyone. We have a nice first weekend of November relatively speaking, especially since November weather could be much worse. We continue to watch a developing coastal storm that won’t impact us in a direct way, but we could see some enhanced tides, rough surf, and some clouds depending on your locale.
SATELLITE
Sunshine and low to mid 50’s dominate today, and a light east wind will begin to develop due to that low pressure system off of the Southeast coast.
WEATHER RADAR
For tomorrow, I’m going to call for increasing clouds, with the best chance of seeing those clouds at the immediate coast; especially south facing shores of Suffolk. The Forks and eastern Suffolk might see a sprinkle or two from those clouds, but that’s it as far as precipitation. We could also see some minor coastal flooding at high tide, and that’ll primarily impact bulkheads and flood prone spots during minor coastal flooding events.
NYC proper may not see any clouds at all, and may just be looking at the line to our south. We’ll watch to see if they sneak in, but again, no major impacts anywhere in the metro area. Highs tomorrow in the mid to upper 50’s.
Sunshine returns late tomorrow for Monday through Wednesday. Look for low 60’s throughout, but we could see some mid to upper 60’s Tuesday if the wind cooperates. We continue to watch our system timing for late week, and that’ll dictate when the rain starts and how mild we go for Friday. 65-70 is possible if the clouds and rain hold off.
