NYC Eyes On Tropical Moisture
Good morning everyone. We have some nice weather ahead for today and most of tomorrow, then we begin to watch the approach of a cold front, remnants Nicholas, and tropical moisture nearing the Southeast. That may become Tropical Storm Odette if things come together right, and regardless of whether it does or doesn’t, expect the moisture to make a close pass.
SATELLITE
Expect sunshine today with an on shore flow and highs near 80. We’ll only dip down to near 70 overnight, and that’ll give us a good springboard for warmer air to get us back into the upper 80’s tomorrow. That warm airmass is ahead of our next cold front, which may touch off some storms overnight tomorrow. Just like last night, we expect some strong storms for those who do see them.
WEATHER RADAR
Moisture sticks around Thursday as the remnants of Nicholas near and the cold front drags its heels. Look for variable cloudiness and the chance of some showery conditions.
Questions remain how close this tropical low gets to the area and how fast it gets knocked out to sea by our cold front. Friday was looking like a nice day originally, but if the tropical moisture (or Odette) brushes us or we get a near miss, we could be looking at a cloudier and cooler day.
Regardless, our weekend is looking really nice. Expect sun & clouds, comfortable conditions, and a seasonably warm 80-85 both Saturday & Sunday.
