Good morning everyone. Moisture laden air with an approaching front, will help combine in the development of slow moving heavy showers & thunderstorms. Many areas of the NYC Metro Area are contending with oversaturated ground from last week’s round of slow moving storms. This will create the risk of more flash flooding throughout the region this evening and tonight. Check out the latest below…
We’re already dealing with slow moving storms and flooding in NW New Jersey, but this round won’t be ours. Look for the development of heavy showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Some embedded storms could reach severe parameters locally. Highs today a muggy near 80 degrees.
We could see a few morning heavy showers and storms tomorrow, then clearing as the day goes on. It’ll be a touch warmer, with highs in the mid 80’s. Thursday and Friday look pleasant overall. Look for 75-80 degree temps on Thursday with light northerlies, then low 80’s on Friday and low humidity for a comfortably warm day.
The nice weather continues on Saturday with near 80 degree temps, then humidity increases with mid 80’s on Sunday.
Please note that with regards to any severe weather, tropical storms, or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
