NYC Flooding Rain Comes to an End

Good rainy morning everyone. While it may not seem so, heavy showers and thunderstorms are set to come to an end this afternoon as a sizable wave of low pressure exits the area. As of this moment, we have on and off heavy rain and rumbles of thunder. Across northwest NJ and southern parts of New England, concentrated echos developing over the same spots, are causing some flooding issues. Don’t be surprised if some of that transits our wave as everything begins to slide to the ENE. Behind it, we have a very mild to warm day today, with pleasant air rushing in tomorrow.

Look for on and off heavy rain this morning into early afternoon. As of now, we’re looking at a cut-off time between 1 and 4pm from west to east. Depending on how many hours of sunshine we get, we should see highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

WEATHER RADAR

Dry and sunny conditions grace us tomorrow, with steady northerlies and highs in the 70-75º range. Look for more of the same on Tuesday, but highs may only reach the low 70’s. We’ll also have good sleeping weather as lows dip into the 55-60º range.

Sunny and dry conditions remain on Wednesday, but she of the warmth returns with highs near 80. To finish out the rest of the week, look for low 80’s on Thursday; then increasing humidity Friday with the slight risk of a few scattered PM showers. Highs in the low 80’s again.
