NYC Fog Issues Tomorrow With 70+ Degree Temps Possible
Good morning everyone. Sunshine continues to grace us today as we temporarily dip in the temperature department due to high pressure drifting off to our east. Southeast winds will help keep things tame around here today, but very mild temps (some may even say warm) are possible tomorrow if the fog doesn’t crash the party & stick around too long.
SATELLITE
Look for another sunny and dry one today, but we won’t be into the mild air at the level we were at yesterday. The marine layer fights back, and we’ll have mid to upper 50’s with a cool, southeast wind.
F5 WEATHER RADARS
The marine layer departing tomorrow AM, combined with light winds in the morning, will help touch off some fog as that warmer airmass clashes with the cold ocean. We’ll see how long that fog sticks around, but if it’s gone by mid-morning we could break 70 in parts of NYC. If the fog is stubborn, mid to upper 60’s will be the best we go. Regardless, areas along the south shore of LI will be cooler than spots several miles inland.
The best chance for breaking 70 degree remain west of the NYC area, but we’ll see if we can get in on the action here.
Mild air and 60’s stick around on Friday, with more clouds than sun & breezy conditions. We could see a shower or two, then we go chilly for the weekend. Expect sunshine and mid 40’s both Saturday and Sunday.
