NYC FRIDAY RAINOUT FLOODING POSSIBLE
NYC FRIDAY RAINOUT FLOODING POSSIBLE – Good morning everyone! Today is our second consecutive day of sun, so in the spirit of late March in New York, you know this can’t last…and it won’t. After a beautiful day, with decreasing winds, and highs in the 50’s, clouds will increase tonight with the approach of a moisture-laden system.
Rain will begin by tomorrow morning and easterly winds will howl, making for a damp, raw, and wet day; highs only in the low to mid 40’s. Rain will continue into tomorrow night and into Saturday late morning/early afternoon. Winds will continue for Saturday, with cloudy skies, and highs 45-50. Throughout all of this rain, we could see some flooding and standing water on roads in the usual trouble spots with poor drainage. Also, due to all of the rain we just had the ground already saturated, so we could see some minor street flooding in areas we don’t see it often.
On Sunday, we clear out slowly with sun and clouds in the afternoon, breezy, and highs in the mid to upper 50’s.

Satellite shows a big plume of moisture in the Mississippi Valley slowly working its way east. This will be our rainmaker for Friday and Saturday.
