NYC HALLOWEEN PROPHESY RAINY THUNDERY FRIDAY SATURDAY
Good spooky morning everyone! Well, not very spooky at all weather-wise here in the NYC area, but pretty spooky to nail down a day by a few degrees from 25 days out. Things are looking quiet for Halloween, but the clouds will gather for our next system.
EASTERN SATELLITE
For today, we’re looking at partly to mostly sunny skies and a 10-15mph steady breeze picking up by afternoon. Look for highs in the upper 50’s to low 60’s; possibly mid 50’s at the coast, especially when that breeze picks up. For trick-or-treating tonight, we don’t drop much temperature-wise. Along the immediate coast, expect temps to remain almost steady, with mid 50’s as lows elsewhere.
REGIONAL RADAR
For tomorrow, we remain looking seasonably mild, with increasing clouds, a light SW wind, and highs in the mid to upper 60’s; low 60’s at the immediate shore. Then showers begin to sneak in overnight.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Friday looks to be essentially a washout, with periods of steady rain, a few rumbles of thunder, a fairly steady southerly fetch, and highs a humid mid to upper 60’s. Rain continues overnight Friday as we watch and see if a secondary wave forms along our stretched out front. If this happens, it’ll keep clouds and the chance of rain in our area for part of Saturday before we very slowly begin clearing things out; highs Saturday in the upper 50’s to low 60’s and breezy. All in all, our rain totals for this event look to be in the 1-2′ realm, but we could see a few higher amounts if we get some thundershower action. Sunday remains looking like the best day of the weekend and seasonably cool. Expect breezy conditions with highs in the low to mid 50’s.
