NYC Hot Friday Expected Before Cooldown
Good afternoon everyone and welcome back. We continue to have an easterly component to our wind as high pressure was able to successfully suppress everything to our south. However, we’re still seeing some of that smoke around due to the forest fires, and some hot conditions are expected by the end of the workweek.
SATELLITE
Look for smoke-veiled sunshine today with temps in the near 70/low range. Overnight we dip into the near 50 range, slightly cooler away from the City.
We’ll see less haze/smoke tomorrow as the wind pattern begins to change, and we’ll have highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
WEATHER RADAR
We go warm on Thursday with more sunshine and 80-85 degree temps, then things really heat up on Friday with upper 80’s to low 90’s throughout the area.
A backdoor cold front will help cool things down on Saturday. Look for sun & clouds with the chance of a few showers, highs in the mid 70’s. Sunshine returns on Sunday with mid to upper 70’s.
For early next week, we’ll start it off possibly on the warm side. We’ll have to keep an eye on it through because it depends on where we are in terms of our next reinforcing shot of cooler air. For the moment, we’ll call for 80-85 next Monday, but temps drop into the 70’s for Tuesday; then possibly even cooler as we go on.
