NYC Best Memorial Day Weekend In Quite Some Time
Good afternoon everyone. We continue this glorious weather through the holiday weekend and into the workweek, with possibly very warm to hot conditions towards the end of the week. Strong high pressure continues to suppress everything well to our south, where a costal storm continues to batter the SE coast. Satellite-wise, that low pressure visually looks like a tropical low, but it remains a cold core system.
SATELLITE
We have sunshine for the next 3 days, with highs today happening right now in the mid to upper 70’s. Look for more mid to upper 70’s tomorrow and more sunshine, then we go warm with near 80/low 80 temps. Throughout the period, expect cooler temps along the immediate shore, plus rough inlets and the risk for rip tides along the beach.
WEATHER RADAR
For your workweek, we remain sunny & mild Tuesday and Wednesday, then go very warm to hot for Thurs/Friday. Look for low to mid 70’s Tuesday, 75-80 on Wednesday, then 85-90 on Thursday.
Friday is the hottest of the bunch with near 90/low 90 temps possible.
Next weekend, we could see a few scattered showers or storms, but so far the action looks to be more of an inland-thing. Depending on the sunshine and wind profile, we could see temps ranging from the low 80’s to near 90.
