NYC Hot Humid Conditions Arrive
Good morning everyone and happy Saturday! Things are looking like deep summer today as humidity creeps in combined with hot conditions. A front transiting the area overnight will get rid of the humidity, but light NW winds will allow that air to sink and heat up fast tomorrow. Hot weather will extend into the start of the workweek, then we moderate back towards average as we go on.
SATELLITE
For today, expect variable cloudiness, humid conditions, and the slight chance of a thunderstorm in the evening or overnight. Most of the action will be inland, so the chance of seeing anything at all is slim, but we’ll keep it in the forecast in case we get a few popcorns popping over a localized area. Highs today near 90, cooler at the immediate shore.
We go dry and hot tomorrow with our overnight front wringing out the moisture in the air. Look for sunshine and highs near 90 again. This time, very warm temps will make it to the coast.
WEATHER RADAR
Hot weather continues on Monday, and we bring back the humidity a bit. We’ll have the slight chance of a thunderstorm, but I feel most of the action holds off till Tuesday. Highs near 90 again.
Tuesday our next front moves through, with much cooler air behind it. That should be enough to touch off showers and storms on and off throughout Tuesday, especially in the afternoon. We’ll have highs in the low 80’s with humid conditions.
Mid-week next week we’re looking cooler and more dry with 75-80 degree temps, then we slowly creep beyond the 80 mark again towards late week.
