NYC Increasing Clouds Showers Cooler Weather Coming

Good morning everyone. We’re starting off sunny and mild here, but things are in the works for a change over the next several days. Milder air returns late week, but then we cool off again and this wait might be longer for mild air to return again. Regardless, we are rather quiet with nothing major going on other than the temp swings.

Sunshine will quickly give way to clouds as the day wears on. We’ll have the chance of some showers, and temps will drop from the 70’s through the 60’s.

Clouds will stick around tomorrow, but only part of the day will have scattered showers in the forecast. We’ll dry out a bit later on, with highs in the mid 60’s.

WEATHER RADAR

Mid 60’s return for Monday, with the chance of more showers as clouds lower and thicken again. That’ll be a temporary thing as we could see sunshine again before sunset.

Tuesday is looking sunny and nice, but on the cool side and 55-60 degree temps. We’ll bounce back a bit on Wednesday, with more sunshine and mid 60’s.

We have a mild opportunity Thursday and Friday, but it’s front-related and that means it won’t last. Expect highs possibly ranging from 70-80 depending on your locale, with a chance of showers and some rumbles Friday.

In the long range, it looks as if we could be in a cool pocket of air for 5-7 days before any hint of mildness returns. Getting 80’s and some 90 degree temps in April make people spoiled early, but that’s not reality and as we know from meteorological history, doesn’t mean an easy and always-mild rest of the spring.
