NYC Late Week Relief On The Way

Good morning everyone. It’s been a hot summer so far, plain and simple; with very few comfortable days thrown into the mix. While we don’t expect any powerful cold fronts and breezy, 70º days yet, there is some relative relief on the way for late week on into the weekend.

Today won’t be one of those days, with 90-95º temps likely, muggy conditions, and the risk of PM storms. While the NWS has it at 60% regarding our chance of storms, I’m skeptical as far as what reaches here. We’ll just keep an eye to the radar later today, but I think most of the action is to the west of us.

WEATHER RADAR

Look for another hot one near 90 tomorrow, then upper 80’s to near 90 on Wednesday. We’ll do it all over again on Thursday with near 90º temps. Some relief will be on the way on Friday as a cold front pushes well south of the area. It won’t be a strong cold front, but it’ll be enough to knock us back into the mid 80’s with lower humidity.

So far your weekend is looking as good as it’ll get for this type of summer we’re having. Look for sunshine, relatively low humidity, and highs in the 80-85º range.
