NYC Low Pressure Slowly Loosens Grip
Good morning everyone. We’re beginning to see the process of low pressure finally breaking down and losing its grip over the area. We still have today and tomorrow to contend with in terms of extra clouds and scattered showers, but we have a beautiful weekend ahead and start to the workweek.
SATELLITE
Clouds remain in the area today with cool temps. We’ll see highs in the mid to upper 50’s with scattered showers throughout the area.
We’ll see some more blue breaks tomorrow as low pressure’s influence begins to relax a bit. Sunshine could pop off a few showers, and we’ll have highs near 60.
WEATHER RADAR
Your weekend is looking pretty good, with sunshine returning on Saturday and highs 65-70. A better wind profile will boost us into the 70-75 range on Sunday and we remain sunny.
Expect more sunshine to start your workweek Monday, with highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
We’ll be watching Tuesday closely as maritime air tries to fight back and we may see some extra clouds/scattered showers. If this plays out, what was thought to be 75-80 degree temps, may wind up as mid to upper 60’s or some version in between.
Regardless, we know we cool off Wednesday as some gloom returns. We also continue to look towards mid-May for some more prolonged salvation weather-wise.
