NYC MILD FRIDAY SATURDAY LOOKING GOOD
Good morning everyone. After a brief cool shot settles into the New York City area today and tomorrow, we are looking pretty fine for a 4 day period throughout the region. This is the time of year when cold air usually modifies very quickly, and that will be the case as this Spring so far has been very typical for our zone.
EASTERN SATELLITE
Clear skies and a stiff northerly flow, will remind us how cool things can getting late March. Look for highs in the mid to upper 40’s. We’ll have a chilly night with lows in the mid to upper 20’s, possibly near 30 in more insulated/polluted spots.
Tomorrow will be the last chilly day for this airmass, as sun continues and we only get to the mid to upper 40’s again.
REGIONAL RADAR
Cool air modifies quickly, the sun remains in play, and a southerly/southwest flow takes over the scene. We remain dry with highs in the mid to upper 50’s for Thursday.
Friday continues to look strong with a big comeback. We’ll have sun and clouds as a slow moving front starts to trek towards us, but the rain holds off. Highs Friday will be in the 60-65 range, with some cooler readings along the south facing shores.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
For your weekend, Saturday is becoming more clear forecast-wise, and it looks like we squeeze out one more dry day out of the bunch. That front will continue to hold back, and if we can squeeze out enough sun, 65-70, possibly even some low 70’s, is not a far-fetched idea. (Cooler along the south facing shores)
Sunday continues to look iffy, and front timing will be key as to timing of any precipitation and if we stay mild or not. For now, make Saturday your key focus for outdoor plans if you have the option. Sunday isn’t looking like a washout, but Saturday will definitely be the better of the two days.
