NYC “Milder” But Moist Week
Good morning everyone. Snow has come to an end from west to east, and we got our coating to 2″ in spots. Parts of the East End may have gotten a little bit more, but nobody has chimed in yet on the final tally. The only true surprise out of this, was that it started a couple of hours earlier. Results were about the same though as we start our new workweek. It’ll be an active one precip-wise, but nothing of significance is expected. However, we are watching late weekend into early next week as a more potent storm could take shape. It’s too early to say what form it takes, so keep an eye on the forecast for more details as we enter mid-week.
SATELLITE
Look for partial clearing today, with highs 35-40 which will help with some melting. We’ll have a mix of sun & clouds tomorrow with mid 40’s for highs.
WEATHER RADAR
Wednesday will be a rainy one, but we’re not expecting anything heavy. It’ll be a chilly light to moderate rain at times, with highs near 40 at best. Thursday is a February “winner”, with a mix of sun & clouds, dry conditions, and highs in the low to mid 40’s. Clouds increase again on Friday, with the chance of some rain or rain & snow mix turning to all rain. Highs in the upper 30’s to low 40’s.
We’ll have some early departing rain Saturday morning, then decreasing clouds and highs near 40. Sunday we begin to watch the forecast, so we’ll hold off on that.
