NYC Mixed Bag Ahead Between Warm Seasonable Warm Again
Good morning. I spoke with The Angry One this morning and he’s in good spirits. He also gave me some input about the long range and we are on the same page, so here it is.
SATELLITE
Clouds associated with that slow moving front are finally starting to sink south of the area. Behind it we will get into a westerly flow today, which equates to a warm, dry, and sunny day. Highs in the low 80’s.
REGIONAL RADAR
During late tomorrow, another front will slip by and this one will have cooler air. We will have a slight chance of an afternoon shower and maybe a few overnight, but not before we have one more warm day. Highs tomorrow in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Low 80’s will be more common if we get more sunshine than clouds.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Tuesday begins the cool down with a north wind, but nothing extreme. We should be in the mid 70’s all week until Friday, then temps should start creeping up towards 80 again. Next weekend has the potential to be a warm one if the timing of our next system works out. If we find ourselves ahead of the cold front the entire weekend, low to mid 80’s are possible both Saturday and Sunday.
In the long range, another cool shot would be on tap some time after next weekend, then possibly a reinforcing shot of even cooler air possible between the 26th-28th. If it works out, this one would have the potential to give us an October feel for a few days before things modify.
