NYC Modified Zonal Flow Dominates

Good morning everyone. We’re locked in this family quiet pattern minus a system here and there. While not a perfectly defined zonal pattern, where the jet stream runs west to east without any “kinks”, we are fairly close. This will translate into fast moving, typically weaker systems, and short-lived chilly pockets behind each system.

Sunshine continues today as do the mild conditions. We’ll have lighter winds today, albeit still steady, with highs in the low to mid 50’s.

Some extra clouds roll in tomorrow ahead of some milder air, but we’re still in the mid 50’s tomorrow.

WEATHER RADAR

Look for some extra clouds Thursday with out warm front/cold front combo, breezy conditions, and highs in the near 60 range. Extra sunshine might notch us past 60, extra clouds would keep us in the 50’s.

We’ll have a sunny morning on Friday with mid 50’s. then we increase the clouds again ahead of the next system.

That next system will have some rain, and we should see it begin before sunrise Saturday, then showery all day. It’ll be cloudy and raw, with a damp mid to upper 40’s as highs. Sunshine returns Sunday after early AM clouds, and so does some seasonably chilly weather. Highs will be in the low 40’s at best on Sunday under dry conditions.
