NYC Nice Veteran’s Day Today Gusty Thundershowers Tomorrow
Good morning everyone. We have one more beautiful day today before clouds start rolling in late and some rain & rumbles pay a visit tomorrow. Seasonably average air will head in behind our front, but we have one more opportunity for some mild air late next week before things cool off considerably.
SATELLITE
Look for sunshine and relatively mild temps on this Veteran’s Day. We won’t be as mild as yesterday or Tuesday, but we’ll still go for some low 60’s, which is well above average for the first 1/3 of November. Clouds will increase late, and we’ll have the slight chance of scattered showers before sunrise/early tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow will be muggy, mild, breezy, and mostly cloudy. Expect brief on and off showers, then a more solid line of quick moving showers and thundershowers will move through. Gusty winds will be the primary issue, and maybe some localized flooding in poor drainage areas for those who see the heavy rain. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s, but if by chance someone sees some blue patches, they may see 70 degrees once more.
WEATHER RADAR
We begin the cool down process on Saturday under sunshine and 55-60 degree temps. Clouds may increase late as a wave moves through, giving us the slight chance of a scattered shower. Sunday is dry, sunny, and seasonable with near 50 temps.
To start next week, 50-55 degree temps dominate the show, but we could see some front-related mild air as our next system approaches late week. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago in terms of 2 chances for some very mild air. This is was #1, next week was #2. We’ll see how it pans out, but I think we see some mid 60’s at minimum, near 70 possible IF the timing, wind, and sunshine cooperate.
