NYC Nice Week But May Struggles Continue
Good late morning everyone. We have a beautiful day and an overall beautiful week ahead, but we continue to straggle temp-wise and there seems to be no relief in the mid-range or long-range models. We’ll continue to watch for the possibility of a milder day here or there, but overall we look to hold below average.
SATELLITE
Today is a good example of that cooler than average air. Yes, the sun is out, and yes, it is a beautiful day; but we continue to hold in this cool airmass with mid 60’s. There’s also the slight chance of gusty afternoon showers as a band of energy comes through with the sun working the atmosphere. If we do get anything at all, they will be brief in nature and sun is dominant regardless.
Sunshine continues tomorrow and we remain in the mid 60’s. Mid to upper 60’s are possible for Thursday and Friday as dry conditions continue.
Our weekend looks decent and slightly more seasonable with clouds and sun, low 70’s, and the slight chance of a few showers.
Sunday and Monday were our best chance of mild to warm days out of this whole thing, but I don’t think high pressure sets up optimally to squeeze the most out of this brief chance. As stated above, look for low 70’s Sunday, but Monday may slip off and be a little cooler with our next system heading our way.
