NYC Passing Showers Pave Way to Gorgeous 7 Day Stretch

Good morning everyone. This holiday weekend by far was the worst one in recent memory weather-wise. In fact, I don’t remember a worse one until you go back to 1993. I remember that year clearly as it was the first one with our boat. We spent the spring restoring it and getting it ready for Memorial Day weekend, only to be faced with stiff northeasterlies, 50 degree temps, and on & off rain. That Monday, we took it out anyway, only to get our butts kicked and a chill in our bones which took a week to go away. 2026 is slightly different, where a late recovery is expected today and a decent end to the 3 day weekend.

Look for a few more showers over the next couple of hours, then partial clearing. Highs will hit the upper 60’s to low 70’s depending on how many blue breaks we get. The change is complete tomorrow, with full sunshine, light SW winds, and highs near 80 (cooler along south-facing shores).

WEATHER RADAR

For Wednesday, we’ll see the slight chance of a few PM popcorn showers after mostly sunny skies in the morning. Highs will hit the mid 80’s. Thursday is perfectly warm, with sunshine and near 80º temps. Friday is another gem, with sunshine and 75-80º temps.

So far our weekend looks perfect to end May and the start June. AM clouds will give way to PM sun on Saturday with highs in the mid 70’s. Sunny skies prevail on Sunday with more mid 70’s.
