NYC Perfect Summer Weekend Warmer Pattern Ahead
Good morning everyone. As promised, the sun finally came out and is here to stay for a couple of days. We’ve also begun summer in a fairly average and pleasant way, but the humidity and rain will be coming back in different form compared to last week.
SATELLITE
Blue skies and sun rule both today and tomorrow. Today will be a breezier version of tomorrow, and highs should be in the 80-85 range both days, and that includes all the way to the immediate shore with a NW flow. It’ll feel slightly warmer tomorrow though as we dial back the wind.
REGIONAL RADAR
Monday is also looking sunny and warm, but we notch up the humidity a bit as we introduce a southerly flow. Highs in the mid to upper 80’s, but cooler at the immediate shore. Clouds increase late with a new airmass trying to take hold, and our transition period remains looking like it’ll be Tuesday into Wednesday.
Expect the chance of showers and storms at any point during the day Tuesday; warm and humid, 80-85. We’ll begin to clear things out on Wednesday and it’s looking like a dry and warm afternoon with low to mid 80’s.
The end of next week is looking very warm to possibly hot. We may start off with upper 80’s to near 90 and relatively dry, but the humidity will increase quickly as high pressure drifts off of the coast.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
For next weekend, the jury remains out on it due to the prospects of a backdoor cold front. If it doesn’t materialize, the very warm and humid conditions will continue. If it does, we may see a more average and wetter couple of days, before the very warm and humid air tries to fight back.
