NYC Popcorn Showers Haze Smoke Veiled Sunshine
Good afternoon everyone. We have departing popcorn showers and rumbles out east on Long Island, with a few more upstate rotating around low pressure stuck in New England (again). That setup brings haze and smoke into our area (again), as we await a better airflow to push everything out (again). The good news is that seasonably mild to warm temps make a steadier appearance as we go on. There is also the slight chance of some hot weather for the last weekend of June. We’ll see how that plays out.
SATELLITE
Clouds, sun, haze, and smoke, play a role for the rest of the day with highs in the 75-80 degree range. We’ll also have the slight chance of a gusty shower or storm.
Things clear out cloud-wise tomorrow, but we may still see some smoke and haze. Highs near 80.
WEATHER RADAR
Highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s will dominate Monday through Wednesday, with sunshine and maybe some light haze/smoke. After that, we go a little bit warmer to round out the week with low to mid 80’s.
We’re keeping an eye on the weekend, but the possibility is there for 85-90 degree conditions Sat/Sun. This could be a conservative number depending on sunshine and wind profile.
