NYC Very Warm/Hot Prospect Collapses

NYC Very Warm/Hot Prospect Collapses

Good morning everyone. As unsettled weather in Southeast lingers long enough to possibly get drawn up the coast in piece-meal fashion, and high pressure protecting us winds up creating a steady easterly fetch, we will wind up kicking the can down the road for any very warm or hot conditions. In the meantime, comfortable weather continues without air quality alerts. However, there is still some light smoke/haze in the air, so for those with asthma or treating issues, you’ll still need to use caution regardless if there is an alert or not.

Look for sun and clouds today, some light smoke and haze, and highs in the 75-80 realm. We’ll hold onto the sun & clouds tomorrow, with more 75-80 degree temps and dry conditions.

WEATHER RADAR

We’ll have 1 more dry one on Wednesday, but the temps remain on the “comfortably mild” side. For the first day of summer, look for more 75-80 degree temps.

Our weather and temps for Thursday is suspect, and that’ll all hang on what our SE moisture does. At minimum, look for low to mid 70’s for highs, increasing clouds, and the chance of some late scattered showers.

Friday is no different, but we’ll be more humid with highs in the mid to upper 70’s, more clouds, and the chance of scattered showers.

Your very warm to hot weekend, simply won’t be. Our system will linger around, keeping an unfriendly wind profile in place, thus impacting temps. Look for clouds and sun to stick around and highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.
