NYC Quiet Hot Week Continues Until Saturday
Good morning everyone. Our quiet but hot weather continues onward, and we expect 90 degree temps through Friday. Cooler weather for the weekend remains on schedule, and even then, things will remain quiet. We’re also watching a few features in the tropics, especially some disturbed weather down in Central America. This may pose a problem for the Gulf in the next week or so, but there are no immediate threats to the East Coast right now.
SATELLITE
Expect more sunshine and more low 90’s today as the core of the hot airmass settles over us. For those with asthma and other difficulties in the heat, it’s wise to take it easy the next few days.
WEATHER RADAR
We remain pretty much rain-free and hot tomorrow and Friday, with more low 90’s tomorrow, and near 90 temps Friday. We’ll have the slight chance of a thunderstorm tomorrow, but anything will be isolated in nature and mostly for the interior northeast.
Much cooler weather pays a visit on Saturday, with sun & clouds and highs in the upper 70’s to near 80. We’ll have the slight chance of a shower each day for the weekend, but temps and humidity start to creep up again Sunday. We’ll still be cooler with near 80/low 80’s, but it may feel warmer as the mugginess returns.
