NYC Saturday Forecast Goes Downhill
Good morning everyone. Our hot weather marches on, and 90’s will continue today and tomorrow. Unfortunately for Saturday, the forecast continues to deteriorate into a cloudy, cool, and rainy day.
SATELLITE
Sunny, skies, muggy conditions, and hot weather sticks around today, with highs in the low 90’s. It’ll be slightly cooler at the shore, but not by much. We’ll keep the same exact weather around tomorrow, but add the very slight chance of an afternoon storm.
WEATHER RADAR
Saturday is not looking very good as cool weather moves in, then warm air fights back on Sunday. Ahead of that boundary, a wave of energy will move across the area for Saturday. This will translate into on and off, slow moving showers and storms. Not everyone will see rain, but we’ll have to watch the radar to see where the showers and storms are popping up and slowly moving. We could see some localized flooding where they do form and drift.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds on Sunday as muggy mid 80’s return.
In the tropics, we continue to watch disturbed weather in the souther Caribbean, and the potential for problems in the Gulf remains high. However, I’m not prepared to pinpoint where in the Gulf we need to watch. Things are trending more east, and everything hangs on development, strength, speed, and timing of any systems that could steer it.
