NYC Rain Changeover Beginning Quiet Week Ahead

Good morning everyone. Some light, scattered freezing rain, mixed precip, and snow N&W of the NYC area is now slowly beginning to change over to a cold rain, and that should stick with us on and off for the rest of the day & overnight. Otherwise, we have a quiet week ahead, quiet weekend, and not much going on in the medium range.

Look for cloudy skies, on and off cold rain, and highs in the upper 30’s to near 40 today. Rain continues overnight, and temps remain near-steady.

Sunshine returns tomorrow and we head up into the mid to upper 40’s, then temps will go up and down for the rest of the week. We’ll drop a few degrees on Wednesday, then mid to upper 40’s return Thursday; then we drop again for Friday.

WEATHER RADAR

Our weekend remains quiet, with another rebound rebound into the upper 40’s for Saturday, and another drop on Sunday with upper 30’s to near 40.

The long range continues to look fairly quiet aside from reinforcing shots of colder air, and some sprinklings of “milder” days here and there. We await to see what the 3rd week of February does, and if nothing works out snow-wise, that kicks us into the last few days of February/Early March, without a major snowstorm. That’ll put us at a big disadvantage statistics-wise for those who want to see another big snowstorm.
