NYC Rain Exits Picture Welcoming Very Mild Day Today
Good morning everyone. Today is looking like a beautiful day after the rain and clouds exit the area, but you know it won’t last with this fast moving pattern, and cooler air is on its way. We continue to contend with small disturbances every few days. However, we relax a little bit in terms of the big rains and storms.
SATELLITE
Expect morning clouds and if you’re up early, we’re already starting to see some blue patches. One small area of showers may clip parts of Brooklyn and southern Queens/Nassau, but we’re almost out of it. We’ll have a very mild day coming up with highs in the mid 70’s to possibly near 80 in spots if we get enough sunshine. A SSW flow will keeps things a little cooler at the immediate south-facing shore, especially out on Long Island where mid 60’s to low 70’s is more likely along those shores.
REGIONAL RADAR
Tomorrow, the cooler air and wind machine picks up. Look for sunny skies, dry conditions, and a blustery day with upper 50’s to low 60’s as highs.
Winds will relax on Tuesday, and we should have full sunshine with low 60’s.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
On Wednesday, one of those small disturbances races by, but I don’t see much with it. Look for a cloudy and cool day with mid to upper 50’s.
Low 60’s return for Thursday, but we could see a sprinkle or two under a mix of sun & clouds. Sunshine continues Friday, then we may have some increasing clouds late.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
We’ll have to see the timing and placing of yet another disturbance coming up next weekend. Again, there won’t be much with this one, but we could have a kinda cloudy and raw Saturday if things don’t work in our favor. Sunday could be the nicer of the two days, we’ll wait to call that one too.
Overall, the jet stream is not our friend right now, but things are really warming up on the west coast and mid-west. Eventually when the pattern shifts in favor of our area, we are going to essentially go right from March weather to late spring conditions. It’s going to happen, the question is when.
