NYC Rain to Snow Likely Today
Good morning everyone. For the past few days, we’ve ben mentioning the possibility of rain changing to a wintry mix and snow today if enough moisture was left over as cold air swoops in. Now that we’re here, it looks as if this will be the case thanks to a sharp cold front which brought severe weather in the Midwest and Southeast.

Look for clouds and showers today, and I also won’t rule out a rumble of thunder. Highs are where they’re at now in the 50-55 range. As that cold from swings by, cold air rushes in, but we’ll still have some precipitation behind it. Temps will drop through the 40’s and into the 30’s. Rain will change from a wintry mix to some departing wet snow. Will things may seem impressive for a bit as big wet flakes fly, the ground will be too wet and temps not low enough to really have much of an impact.
At most, we’ll have a coasting on colder surfaces such as cars, grass, and tree branches before coming to an end.

Tomorrow is windy and chilly, with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 40’s.
Saturday and Sunday looks seasonably cool, with highs in the near 50/low 50 range. Saturday looks sunny and windy, Sunday is cloudy with lighter winds.
