NYC Rainy Afternoon Ahead With Mild Tomorrow & Friday

Good morning everyone. It looks as if today remains looking like the rainiest of the next 3 days, with most of the energy from the main system heading to our north Thursday night and Friday. That’ll open the door for a milder day tomorrow and Friday, which we talked about if some extra sun popped through.

For today, the clouds are here already and we’ll be waiting for showers to arrive possibly this afternoon. The best chance for a more steady rain will be in the evening, where we may even see rain heavy at times with a rumble of thunder possible. Highs today will be a slightly above average mid 50’s, but it’ll feel raw.

Clouds and fog stick around tomorrow morning, but we’ll see some sunshine in the afternoon. This will open up the opportunity for us to get out of the originally forecasted low to mid 60’s, and go for near 70 degree temps in spots. Best chance to reach or break 70 will be away from immediate south facing shores.

On Friday, our system moves through and again, most of the energy go west and north of our area. We could still see a few AM showers, but cloudy skies will once again give way to afternoon sunshine. The winds will increase as cooler air begins to trek towards the area, but not before we go for 70-75 degree temps.

So far our weekend is looking like a split decision, with sunshine and low 60’s Saturday, then clouds roll back in for Sunday. We’ll see cloudy skies and maybe a few showers Sunday, and we’ll be in the mid 50’s for highs.
