NYC RAINY APRIL PATTERN BEGINS

Good morning everyone. We have one more sunny and dry one today before a rainy pattern shifts into the NYC area for quite a while. We rarely get a “storybook” spring beginning here in the Northeast, and this year won’t be any different.

EASTERN SATELLITE

Look for sunny, breezy, and seasonably mild conditions today, with highs in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. Clouds begin to creep in tonight as our first of many systems begins to near.

REGIONAL RADAR

Tomorrow will be cloudy, rainy, and raw, with the slight chance of some showers early, then a steadier rain as we go on into the late afternoon/evening. Highs tomorrow in the mid 40’s. Rain continues overnight tomorrow and temps either hold steady or rise slightly as things begin make its exit.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

We’ll have the slight chance of some early morning rain Saturday, then gradual clearing. A light NW flow will help bounce us back into the low to mid 60’s if we can get the sun going by late morning.

Sunday is looking like the best day of the bunch, with full sunshine and low 60’s.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

To start the week, we bring another system into the area and another rainy day for Monday. This will be the case until further notice, where we see rainmakers of various intensity every 3-5 days. This is very common during April here. At least we’ll get some sunshine and seasonably cool to seasonably mild temps in between.

We could always have a cut-off low hanging around for a week, which is also common this time of year, so count your blessings that everything is at least moving.
