Good morning everyone. Low pressure is starting to pull away, but we still have some wraparound energy left in the region that’ll bring us some scattered showers and storms heading in from the north/northeast. After this last round, we dry out for a comfortably warm & seasonable day tomorrow.
Showers and storms continue on the East End of Long Island, and that line extends outward to the northwest into Connecticut and the lower Hudson Valley. That’ll pivot down into the area, with scattered heavy showers and storms likely today. Not everyone will see the action, but for those who do, look for locally strong to severe storms possible. The largest threat remains small hail, locally strong winds, and torrential rain. Highs today will be near 80 at best and muggy.
We clean things out for tomorrow, with sunshine and high in the 80-85º range. Humidity begins to creep up again on Saturday, but we remain average with more highs in the low to mid 80’s. Look for the chance of a few scattered showers on Sunday, with highs a muggy low 80’s.
To start your workweek, we’ll have the risk of an AM shower or storm; then sun & clouds with more low 80’s.
Please note that with regards to any severe weather, tropical storms, or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
