NYC SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN POSSIBLE TODAY
NYC SCATTERED LIGHT RAIN POSSIBLE TODAY – Good morning. If you’re just waking up, you’re beginning to realize why the forecasts for the New York City area have been so hard to pinpoint. Late yesterday, clouds rolled back in (as expected) after a beautiful day. However, things got complicated as the dry air drifted back to our northeast, allowing showers to walk the edge of our area.
Look for the slight chance of light showers today, with light northeasterly winds and low 70’s. Originally, 75-80 was expected, but without the sun, forget it. The heaviest of rain will be well to our south and west, where they may see some heavy rain, thunderstorms, and flooding. The prospect of scattered light rain continues into the night with a slight chance, then we slowly begin to clear things out tomorrow; highs slightly below normal and in the low 70’s again.
For Tuesday, the sun returns as does seasonal temps. Expect 75-80 for most of the area. To check out my extended forecast as well as a glimpse into the long range, you can check it out here.
