NYC Showers Fading Out Hot Saturday Expected
Good afternoon everyone. Showers and clouds are on the move to make way for a nice Friday – Sunday. However, the heat returns for a 2 day stint this weekend, then we go more towards seasonal. We also have a preview on the long range and what we may or may not expect for July 4th.

For the rest of today, clouds and showers start to thin out and fade away. Temps will remain near 70 for an unseasonably cool day, then we begin partial clearing overnight.
Sunshine returns tomorrow for a comfortably warm day in the low 80’s.
WEATHER RADAR
That boundary of heat from our west temporarily settles in over the area for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday definitely looks like the warmest the two, with sunshine and low 90’s. Sunday has AM sun, then a PM mix of sun & clouds. That’ll help keep us in the upper 80’s to near 90.
Things will cool off on Monday under clouds and the slight chance of scattered showers. Highs will be int he low 80’s, then sunshine returns with more low 80’s for a seasonable midweek.
In the long range, it looks as if we may have some issues with moisture getting hung up along the east coast with the help of a slow moving front and waves of energy moving along it. This may or may not impact our holiday weekend and July 4th on that Monday. We could also find ourselves sandwiched in between two systems for the 4th itself, and that may shield us temporarily for a pleasant and warm day.
We’ll keep an eye on it all as we get closer.
