NYC SNOW CLOSE CALL REMAINS APRIL PATTERN CHANGE AHEAD

NYC SNOW CLOSE CALL REMAINS APRIL PATTERN CHANGE AHEAD – Good afternoon everyone. A late January feel continues to haunt the area, while we remain on close watch for any changes with our prospective 4th Nor’Easter in such a small space of time.

Afternoon model runs remain too close to call as far as whether the NYC area absorbs yet another snowfall and another wind-making Nor’easter, but other things are starting to become more clear. First, will be the first redevelopment off of the coast. As of now, it looks as if we’re free and clear other than a cloudy and raw day when it makes a close pass. The second is the formation of another low pressure system behind the first. This is the one we’ll have to watch to see how close it gets.

As the day wears on, our model runs will become more unreliable, especially in the situation we’re in right now trying to predict back to back low pressure systems. I’m 90% sure that tomorrow morning, we will have a very clear picture on what to expect this week, if anything at all. That being said, our pattern change in the long range is starting to become more clear.

While the system parade continues, it looks as if the block will finally begin to relax late in the month, and we’ll see the return to normal, possibly above normal temps in early April. So for those who hate the snow and the cold, hold on, relief is on the way.

For those who visit my FB Page, Angry Ben’s Angry Weather, you’ll have learned today that I’m taking part in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on July 1st at the World Trade Center. We are climbing for the Pfieffer Foundation which helps first responders suffering from 9/11 related illness and the financial burden that comes with it. Being a first responder myself, as well as my team, we are climbing in memory of my friend Ezra Aviles, NYPD Officer Moira Smith, who were killed in the attack; and in honor of the men and women suffering from 9/11 related illness. You can donate here by clicking here on our team for the climb, Holy Shirts & Boots. Whether it’s $100 or $1, every little bit helps.

Don’t be without Meteorologist Joe Cioffi’s weather app. It is really a meteorologist app because you get my forecasts and my analysis and not some automated computer generated forecast based on the GFS model. This is why your app forecast changes every 6 hours. It is model driven with no human input at all. It gives you an icon, a temperature and no insight whatsoever.

It is a complete weather app to suit your forecast needs. All the weather information you need is right on your phone. Android or I-phone, use it to keep track of all the latest weather information and forecasts. This weather app is also free of advertising so you don’t have to worry about security issues with your device. An accurate forecast and no worries that your device is being compromised.

Use it in conjunction with my website and my facebook and twitter and you have complete weather coverage of all the latest weather and the long range outlook. The website has been redone and upgraded. Its easy to use and everything is archived so you can see how well Joe does or doesn’t do when it comes to forecasts and outlooks.
