NYC SNOW NEGATORY ALTHOUGH COLD AIR STUBBORN
NYC SNOW NEGATORY ALTHOUGH COLD AIR STUBBORN – Good morning everyone. We finally caught a break this year with low pressure slipping to our south and no last minute changes. However, there’s always a catch and this one comes in the form of relatively cold air for this time of April.
With low pressure heading just far enough out to sea, clouds will stick around today, as well as the cool weather. Look for mostly cloudy skies, highs 45-50, and a stiff northwest breeze. The sun returns tomorrow, but we are slightly cooler as the core of Canadian air heads over us. Expect highs in the mid to upper 40’s as 50 will probably remain elusive.
Clouds begin to increase throughout the day Monday courtesy of a weak system approaching and cool air remains; highs again in the mid to upper 40’s. We;ll have the slight chance of rain Monday night, then mid to upper 40’s again Tuesday with clouds sticking around. We slowly start to climb out of the funk mid week, with low 50’s by Wednesday, then maybe some upper 50’s by Thursday and Friday.
As far as any normal to mild air, we MIGHT have a chance next weekend, but have to wait and see if the warm front can make it past our area. It’s going to be a tough task ahead and your best shot as of this moment is to travel down to DC next weekend and enjoy it if feasible.
