NYC SPRING ATTEMPT NEXT WEEK
NYC SPRING ATTEMPT NEXT WEEK
NYC SPRING ATTEMPT NEXT WEEK – Good morning everyone. Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Ok, bad news first, it’s gonna rain again, and be cool again. Now for the good news, the soil is getting lots of water and our grass should look great by July! Oh, and we have a chance for some normal temps next week.
First, we have to contend with the not so fun stuff. Low to mid-level clouds and maybe a few scattered sprinkles will remain stubborn in the area today; along with gusty winds and highs near 50. Clouds and sprinkles remain tonight as does our chilly air, lows in the mid to upper 30’s. Sun will finally break out tomorrow, but the gusty winds stay. We warm up slightly due to some sun, but we’ll remain a few degrees below normal and in the upper 50’s.
We have another system to contend with tomorrow night and into Thursday. Look for increasing clouds, then a solid block of rain moving in, which will last through early Thursday afternoon. Cool air remains and we won’t break the mid 50’s.
A good stretch of sun finally returns Friday onward, but it’ll be a slow climb out of the dungeon temp-wise. Look for low to mid 50’s Friday, mid 50’s Saturday, then finally some normal temps Sunday and Monday with highs near or just over 60.
In the long range, we remain active, with potentially low pressure getting hung up and cut off somewhere off of the East Coast. However, the big story will be the temperatures. We will finally see a prolonged stretch of normal to slightly above normal highs to helps us enter the first week of May, and that journey begins Sunday.
