NYC Stagnant Pattern Keeps Smoke Haze Around

NYC Stagnant Pattern Keeps Smoke Haze Around

Good afternoon everyone. Low pressure meandering in the Nova Scotia area continues to send smoke from the Canadian wildfires our way. This is going to be an issue for a while and is really causing havoc air quality-wise. Expect smoke and haze to come and go over the next couple of weeks depending on the wind profile. In other news, temps ranging from 70-80 dominate the forecast with no short/medium range end in sight for this blocking pattern.

For today, expect a few showers and storms drifting around the NE and trying to get down our way. We’ll have smoke veiled sunshine and highs 75-80.

Look for more 75-80 degree temps tomorrow and the slight chance of showers and storms.

WEATHER RADAR

Expect more smoke veiled sunshine & clouds Thursday and we go a little bit cooler with highs in the upper 60’s to 70’s. We’ll also have a chance of some showers and storms.

More of the same for Friday, but we go back to the 75-80 range.
